However, compost and similar materials may provide a good environment for weeds to grow, so you have to be careful. Monitor your garden or landscape regularly and apply a different approach if weeds develop.

There are also products available in the market that contains natural ingredients that will help deal with weeds. There are herbicides that contain corn gluten, which can fight the growth of weeds as they deal with the weed seeds and prevent them from growing. Make sure that you check the label, some use natural ingredients but that does not mean that they are all natural.
